Alex Swaffer

Songwriter, Guitarist and Multi-Instrumentalist from UK, Alex Swaffer began his musical career in 2001 as the co-founder and lead guitarist of South Coast local-heroes Lazy Creek. Whilst the band drew local acclaim and recorded a number of self-produced EPs and albums, the struggle to break through to the mainstream took its toll and in 2007 the band called time on its tenure with members each going their separate ways. Over the course of the next decade Swaffer would continue his musical journey absorbing many influences from around the globe and guest appearing on a number of projects. In 2020, Swaffer finally returned to the creative process, single-handedly writing, arranging, performing and producing a number of songs that echo themes of love, loss and simpler times. He released the first of a number of planned EPs in October 2020 entitled Mechanical Choir.
