Bio

Born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in the suburb of Willoughby, Alfredo convinced his parents to purchase the instrument for him at the age of 13. As he ascended through junior and senior high school, he studied in the Cleveland area under Dale Nemeth, Jimmy Black, and Tom Ross.

In his teens and early twenties, Alfredo was involved in a handful of bands such as Optimis Prime, Horizontal Party, Sonic Transmissions, 7 Hz. Tone, Detagoh, Earthburn, Released, Absolut Fusion, and Patrick Shields Eclecticity.

Growing weary of the local scene, Alfredo left to pursue music academically at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California in 2003. He studied under many great talents such as Christopher Maloney (Lisa Loeb, Dweezil Zappa), Brian Allen (Greg Adams), Oneida James (Joe Cocker), and Putter Smith (Thelonious Monk).

Shortly after finishing his studies, he was awarded the World Scholarship Tour, awarded by the Berklee College of Music to the most promising young talents around the globe. He then began his studies at Berklee in Boston where he is currently studying electric bass as well as music business. He is studying at Berklee with greats such as Oscar Stagnaro, Anthony Vitti, and Bruce Gertz.

So far in his young career, Alfredo has had the pleasure of recording and/or performing with Chad Szeliga of the platinum selling artist Breaking Benjamin, Maverick Recording artist Lissie, “Just Bri”, the son and daughter of Sonny Geraci from the band The Outsiders (“Time Won’t Let Me”), and Sal Cuevas, the legendary Latin Bassist. He has also shared the stage with Freekbass and Malcolm Jamal-Warner. Alfredo has always used his life and surroundings as inspiration for music. I have known him my entire life, and one thing I can guarantee is that anything that he plays on that 4-string will be truthful, genuine, and will come from the heart.
