Biography

Combine a classically trained pianist along with a versatile, soulful voice & you are presented with singer/songwriter Alice Amelia. After supporting Ellie Goulding back in 2009 along with airplay on radio stations such as BBC 1Xtra, BBC 6 radio & BBC Introducing, as well as being placed on Amazing Radio's 2011 prediction list for up & coming artists, Alice is set for an exciting future in the music industry.

Her eclectic songwriting stretches right across the musical spectrum. Examples include top-line writing for drum and bass, dubstep & electro , with 2 of her dubstep tracks (produced by up and coming producer Cruso), being made Record Of The Week on BBC 1xtra & Amazing Radio. She also writes and composes her own songs on the piano, ranging from soul, pop, jazz, funk, folk & acoustic, which she regularly performs live at music venues across the country, both solo & with her band.

"My parents are to blame for my schizophrenic songwriting. My Dad would shower me with classical symphonies, concertos and jazz from the 1940s, whereas my Mum would blast the likes of UB40, T-Rex, Motown & Abba whilst singing (loudly) out the car window. So actually, on second thoughts, they aren't to blame, they are to thank :)"
