"RAWcross America Review - January 18 2011"

As we were making our way down Broadway (on block #2) a group of young girls handed me a sticker that read Alice and Thunderland. They asked us if we wanted to catch a free show at the top level of the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. In my months of searching for RAW venues in Nashville I remember seeing Tooties on a yelp search- and I remembered it being world famous. Everyone and Willie Nelson's Mom has played tootsies! The venue had every major country star's head shot and autograph plastered on the walls, along with signatures and carvings of names and initials in their walls that had to be dated from the '60s or later.

Alice and Thunderland were charming. A group of kids- a girl lead vocal and four male counterparts rocked the stage with rock and roll covers. It almost brought a tear to my eye. I could tell this was their first big gig- and I was proud for them, as if I knew them for years, or they were my kids.

We snagged them for a documentary interview, they were nervous- it was so cute. Turns out they were from Birmingham, Alabama. They had made the 2.5 hour drive to Nashville for their first big show [In Nashville]. Alice and two Thunderlands were cousins, Alice's boyfriend was in the band and then there was a friend. They were adorable, ages ranging from 15-19. Their interview was precious. They may even be RAW artists soon, when they're old enough to get into the venue. - Heidi Luerra

"Alice In Thunderland at BAAM! Fest - 2011"

As the organizer of one of Birmingham's largest music festivals, the Birmingham Arts And Music festival (BAAM! Fest), I was honored to have Alice In Thunderland as one of our featured acts. They are very professional and show talent far passed their years. The festival audience loved them, and from what I've seen, they always put on a great show. BAAM! Fest is looking forward to their performance in 2011. I would definitely say Alice In Thunderland is the next band to watch for. - Sharif Simmons

"Black & White Magazine - June 11 2009"

The lovable lads (and lass) of Alice in Thunderland seem perfectly proud to be reinventing the most uncool aspects of classic rock. These disciplined local teens are also downright adorable in their professionalism. They probably have business cards. Ask for one. - Black & White Magazine

"City Stages - Birmingham Weekly Review"

One of the best band names at City Stages this year belongs to Philip and Austin Blevins, their cousin Jaclyn Wint and their friend Andrew Bobulinski. As might be expected, they bring the noise with Thunderland, but they bring a sharp sense of performing as well. How sharp? They lost in the annual City Stages Battle of the Bands, but the judges invited them to take a slot at the big show nevertheless. They’re just kids, but so once were the classic rockers they strive to emulate, so belay that ageist prejudging. Alice in Thunderland will do their level best to win you over and we surmise that that level will be around 120 decibels. - Birmingham Weekly

Bio

Often compared to the likes of Pat Benatar, Led Zeppelin, and Guns ‘N Roses, Alice In Thunderland keep a classic vibe in their music that audiences are familiar with, while also maintaining a unique identity to their original and cover songs. The members of Alice In Thunderland are extremely passionate for a style of music that is often unappreciated by the current music scene, but always leaves the audience in awe with the amount of talent and professionalism from such young group of musicians.

Alice In Thunderland has had opportunity to perform with many national touring acts, such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doobie Brothers, Guster, The Whigs, and Hill Country Revue. Even so, no show has ever been too small for Alice In Thunderland. With that philosophy in mind, Jaclyn Wint on lead vocals, Phillip Blevins on lead guitar, Zac Head on bass guitar, and Austin Blevins on drums always bring their best musicianship to every gig. Their polished live performances and catchy original music has developed a large and dedicated local following.
