Alice Rose

Style: Electro-pop, trip-hop, indi-electronica, dance

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Alice Rose plays and sings beautiful, mesmerizing and thoroughly modern music that captures the essense of the old world and the new. Her one-woman performances, her stunning vocals, her jugglers skill using samplers, computer, beat boxes, strings, casios, keyboards, harmonicas and toys--all come together in a delicious concoction of electro-folk--equal parts trip-hop, pop, electronica and dance. She is a true adventurer in the music world today and is constantly exploring new grounds.
Ms. Rose’s musical journey started at an early age with violin and voice lessons, church choirs, and heated sibling sing-offs whose winner would be exempt from weekly chores. One day she found a discarded 4-track recorder and, after removing a jammed tape, she began to compose and record her own music. Soon after, she completed her first homemade album, a collection of songs which she released on casette tape in 1999.
Since then, Alice has produced a fair amount music both on her own and with a number of prominent electronic musicians.
Her 2007 album, -Mora with the Golden Gun- was released in Denmark and in the Benelux, and 2009 the rest of the world followed.

2007 also saw the light of her concept album/art academy masterpiece, 21 Days. An album containing original material as well as cover songs by Dolly Parton and Daniel Johnston. The album was written and produced in 21 days during the winter of 2007, and the artwork is beautifully crafted into a 49 page booklet containing drawings and lyrics.

Alice is currently finishing work on her next studio album, Daydreamer, co-producing with producer and musician John Parish(PJ Harvey, Goldfrapp) from Bristol and studio wizz and techno/electronica producer Gabriel Ananda(Cologne). You can look forward to a beautiful, melodic indie-pop album in 2010.
