Alicia Renee'

Early Beginnings:
ALICIA RENEE' (also known as Alicia Robinson Cooper in the gospel arena) is an American born singer hailing from the "Sunshine State" of Florida. Like most African-American entertainers, ALICIA RENEE’ began singing as a toddler at her father’s church. Since that time, her profound vocal abilities have taken her into a myriad of musical genres, including pop, rhythm and blues, classical, and contemporary gospel.

ALICIA RENEE was born with a deep passion for music and it was displayed very early on. She was surrounded by music in that both of her parents are singers in their own right. Therefore, they encouraged ALICIA RENEE’ to perfect her God-given musical gift and pursue her dream of sharing it with the world.

Career:
ALICIA RENEE’s vocal style has often been compared to those of Whitney Houston and Patti LaBelle. She has covered some of their most classic hits as well as material from other great artists like Jennifer Holiday, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey just to name a few. Although a soloist, ALICIA RENEE’ has collaborated with an array of nationally renowned artists while touring as the lead singer and actress in the urban gospel stage play, Church Mess. That list of artists include: American Idol finalist, Lil Rounds, Sounds of Blackness lead vocalist, Ann Nesby and the incomparable Kim Burrell. Church Mess has played to anxious crowds by the thousands all across America for the past six years and it continues to draw countless fans today. ALICIA RENEE’ and the entire cast of the play were invited to the White House for a private tour after a sold-out performance in our nation’s capitol. ALICIA RENEE’ has also performed with a number of bands providing live entertainment at hundreds of weddings and other social events. Most notably, she performed at the star-studded nuptials of rapper Trick Daddy and the Tom Joyner Morning Show’s bon voyage party. ALICIA RENEE’ list of performances includes concerts, private social gatherings and civic events at the request of prestigious government officials. Her largest performance to date was before an audience 25,000 at the One Florida Initiative where she sang the national anthem. ALICIA RENEE’ had the esteemed pleasure of performing for the late, great Ray Charles at the National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education convention in Washington, DC where he was being honored for his philanthropic commitment to historical Black colleges and universities.

Going Global:
In 2010, ALICIA RENEE’ accepted a friend’s invitation to visit Cairo, Egypt. During that visit, she was invited to perform at the Dar el Tarbeth American School. The trip and the performance changed her life completely. A year later, she visited Doha, Qatar. While sitting on the banks of the Gulf, ALICIA RENEE’ was inspired to share her passion for music globally.

Multi-talented:
A powerhouse singer, actress and producer, ALICIA RENEE’ is also a songwriter. In 2009, while on vacation with her family, ALICIA RENEE’ penned the words to a song entitled Family which will be the theme song Church Mess, the movie. (Family video link) With powerful vocal skills, keen acting ability and the gift to pen prolific lyrics, ALICIA RENEE' is the ultimate entertainer. Her crossover style and loving personality can reach fans of all genres of music everywhere.
