""Perfect music for dusk""

(Automatic English translation)
An graceful Algerian singer, a intimate American Guitarist : it is in Toulouse that was hatched this desert blues and yet rich in images and sensations. Perfect music for dusk.

""two pearls sometimes give a magnificent jewel""

original (french)

Envoutant. (JM-E,LIbération)

(automatic english translation)
Sublime: two pearls sometimes give a magnificent jewel. The meeting between the singer Alima and blues guitarist Lone Kent is this kind of precious projet. She’s Algerian, he’s American, but both live in France. Alima draws from her womb the pain to refine it, embellish it, and offer it as a clump of nettles turned pink. Lone Kent, as a slide & bottleneck master accompanies her on guitar. He puts in his game the same intensity as Neil Young on the soundtrack of "Dead Man" by Jim Jarmusch. Bewitching. - LIBERATION (National Press / France) by Jean Manuel Escarnot

Bio

The Algerian vocalist Alima Hamel is born in France. She performed during 10 years in Europe, Africa, Canada ... with the jazz-world band “Monkomarok”. Modelled by jazz, world music and blues influences, her sensual and graceful voice supports delicate, intimist lyrics that describe a universe where the figure of the Algerian woman is omnipresent.

The American (but living in France) guitarist Lone Kent has learned music at Berklee College of Music de Boston, and issued several albums under his name (Sony Music, Crammed Discs …) mostly in Europe. He has travelled the world. Young, he embraces a multitude of exotic sounds and was enriched by different experiences, creating a unique style. His music reflects his absence of roots.

From their meet in 2009 is born a beautiful and unique duo, somewhere between Susheela Raman and Ry Cooder or Ben Harper, a Algerian blues and folk combo, rich in images and sensations. Bewitching and perfect for dusk.
