A Line Above The Sea (BRAM Records 2009)

The homonymous disc debut ‘A Line Above the Sea’ results from the consolidation of a project
forged a long time ago among concerts and rehearsals.
The Catalan group signs four excellent songs, which navigate in the hypnotizing dream of Adri’s
voice and also deepen into lyrics where landscapes and revelations are the unequivocal sign of a
new way to tell stories.
PRODUCTION
The responsibility for both the artistic production and musical direction, and also the executive
production of this disc falls on the producers Joan Rubinat and Oriol Maymó, both founders of
BRAM Productions and BRAM Records.
After years of intense dedication and accumulated experience in the world of music (collaborating
in several groups as interpreters and assuming responsibilities over previous recordings), the
producers have been able to provide ‘A Line Above the Sea’ with a sound of Nordic inspiration,
which works perfectly in the disc and also in the band live performances.
The actual recording and the mixing process took place at the ‘Most Wanted Studio’ in Tarragona,
Spain, during February 2009. The producers accomplished all the studio work.
The disc has been mastered by Juanjo Muñoz at the Catmastering studios in Manresa, Spain.
The editing work on the disc has been done by BRAM Records, a label created from BRAM
Productions to distribute their own productions and those of others that show the highest quality
standards and a strong compromise with music.

Bio

The band ‘A Line Above the Sea’ –Adri, Leo, Marc, Mireia, Quique- comes from a previous group
named “Ralph”. After two years playing all over Spain, which gives them wide recognition in this
country, they decided to take a break that later on became final.
At this point, Adri (vocals and guitar) and Leo (guitar) decide to create a new project, away from
their previous hard-core. They start composing with only two acoustic guitars, and rapidly recorded
two songs in their living room that were very welcomed at the band’s Myspace, accumulating more
than 14.000 visits in only two months.
Since the end of 2008, ‘A Line Above the Sea’ has been working with the support of Joan Rubinat
and Oriol Maymó, at BRAM Productions, which have given shape to this, the first EP of the
Catalan band.
