What started out as a chance to goof off in front of people for a talent show became a series of episodic music placed in various times in our lives. We set about trying to transcend popular beliefs of what Hip Hop was and try to take Hip Hop where it belonged, to the brain. Trying to always outshine on each and every track tackling the usual Hip Hop discussions to more subtle but parody like responses to Hip Hop's usual avenue. We thought that by creating music together we could enhance the enjoyment of others through new means of lyrical and beat production. This alliance of sorts produced what has become known to us as the Metro Enlightenment.
