Ali Rebel

Emerging out of the crisis of content in Urban Music of the 2000's, the prolific artist Ali Rebel is one of the leaders in the Rebel Music movement. This amazing artist is ready to help lead dancehall back to the musical and spiritual influence of roots, rock, reggae and most importantly subject matter. His music is electric, positive and advocates faith and compassion for poor black youth, and respect for women. All this while maintaining a high standard of quality control -- all the more impressive due to his versatile style as a vocalist.

Ali Rebel was born, Elardio Gayle on August 19, 1978 and was raised in Kingston by strict parents. After leaving Jamaica at the early age of 8 years old, he found himself on a fantastic voyage around the world. England, France, Germany, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Syria to name just a few of the destinations. It was while he was overseas that he developed a love for and success in performing. His first instrument was a saxophone which translated into the smooth fluidity of his vocal styling. His second instrument was the guitar which gave him the inspiration to begin writing songs.

Ali Rebel came into his own as an artist in the summer of 2000 after graduating from Stetson University. Originally a member of the group "Night and Gayle", he assumed that name in a different form, "Nightingale" when the other original member gave up on his musical aspirations. It was 6 years and countless performances and songs later that he redefined himself as Ali Massive and then Ali Rebel.

Closely affiliatined with the group Mana Santa, Rebel was able to tour parts of Honduras and Miami bringing his high energy, high content approach to music to a receptive audience. Ali Rebel is quickly becoming enormously popular and anticipated in the central and southern Florida area. Be on the lookout, and be prepared!!
