Alisa

Alisa has loved music and singing ever since she can remember. She began writing poetry when she was fifteen and two years ago, she merged those two passions into one and wrote her first song! Using garage band, she learned to mix loops and put together basic songs, resulting in a wide variety of styles and genres. She wrote everything from folk to dance music as she explored new ideas and concepts. In September of 2008, Alisa attended the CCMAs in Winnipeg and was inspired to try a more commercial approach to her writing. She learned basic song structure, did some co-writing and attended seminars to learn more about both the art and the business that goes along with it. In February of 2009, Alisa took one of her songs, “Love at First Sight” to John Thiel at Horizon music and had a scratch demo done. She loved hearing the song take on a life of its own! She brought in several more songs to do the same, and six months later, she has completed her first four song demo! Alisa is currently hard at work on a dynamic debut album in the pop/rock genre!
