Bio

Hollywood CA- In an industry where so many artists are cookie cutter copycats and told to play it safe, Alisa Apps stands out as a multi-talented, visionary performer who perfectly defines the creative freedom of being an indie artist. The Cleveland native’s eclectic debut album, IT’S TIME will have radio and retail buzzing for months on the strength of tunes that cross genres from pop to rock to soul —all written by Apps herself, and produced by Madonna’s current-longtime right hand man ;co-produced by Alisa Apps & mixed by Alisa Apps & New Zealand’s Stefan Broadley and Mastered by the legendary Bernie Grundman.

Few debut singles are as boldly ambitious and starkly revealing as her fiery and propelling “A Simple Life,” whose lyrics immediately tell us that she’s not going to settle for anything less than the superstar she is destined to become.

Aside from her unique voice, look, attitude and style, perhaps the most remarkable element of Apps’ development as an artist has been the breakneck speed at which her career is taking off. While Global Records gears up to introduce Apps’ talents to the world, To date, Apps has performed sold-out shows at L.A. hotspots El Rey Theatre, BB King’s and Club Aura.“The album is musically diverse because I love so many styles of music, and being honest about who I am as a person and an artist is very important to me,” says Apps. “For me, writing and recording a strong debut project involved opening my soul, the feelings in my heart, and putting them into the songs. They can be very personal, as in “A Simple Life” which is not only about me and my beliefs but it is also a song to help others believe in themselves. I have never been a settler with myself nor my surroundings.

I always know I can do better, feel better and look better. Having an ordinary or as I call it, “A Simple Life” is not who I am. I want to grow and better myself every day and excel at everything I do and not let myself or God down. This album is about living my life with passion, achieving my goals and most importantly it’s a wake up call for those who are stuck in a rut. There is also a deeper spiritual message, like “Isn’t Life Amazing,” and even my thoughts regarding human nature: “Everybody’s In” is about the many things we can do in life but fail to because we focus too much on ourselves. It’s a call to action. My goal is to inspire fans to go after their dreams just as I am doing, and to not just dream but to take action and make their dreams come true! There’s really nothing more fulfilling.”For more information on Alisa Apps contact Terry Williams at 310.248.2977
