These days we don’t have much time
We bring the world home with us every night
I can’t wait to hold you, but the darkness comes
And we just close our eyes

Come be my daylight lover
We don’t need no covers
Lets throw back the shadows
We’ve been hiding behind
Oh the sun can show us
What we already know is
The secret between you and I
Come be my daylight lover
I don’t want to wait till tonight

I want to see how you smile
There’s a joy that we’ve been missing for a while
The sun is shining through the window
On the best part of our lives

Chorus

We’ve got no where we have to be
Let’s give into what we need

Chorus

Come be my daylight lover
I don’t want to wait
Come be my daylight lover
We don’t have to wait
Come be my daylight lover
I don’t want to wait till tonight

With a smile like a prince
And eyes like the sun
With a voice of velvet
Oh you tell me I’m the only one
Can you tell me how I know Babe
If our love is true
Often my hearts been broken
By a man just like you

chorus
Listen up close Babe
Cause I’m not gonna say it twice
I won’t be around for long
If you don’t treat me right

You say you’re a good man
You work it hard every day
It’s that mean ole boss man
Keeps you working oh so late
But I better hear no rumors
You know the kind that go around
That your taking some little sweet thing
Some sweet thing down town

chorus

Oh ooo, you know how to make the moves Babe
Send a woman to her knees
You do just what you want baby
You get anything that you please
Show me that you love me Babe
Make it nice and slow
But if you can’t love me true baby
Well I’ll just get up and go

Listen up close Babe
Cause if you ever do me wrong
I’ll pack up my bags today
and tomorrow I’ll be gone

Listen up close Babe
Cause I’m not gonna say it twice
I won’t be around for long
If you don’t treat me right

Wish I Did

Wish I Did

I don’t smoke but if I did
I could blame the way my hands shake on trying to quits
Oh breathing ain’t easy but neither is this hell we’re living
No I don’t smoke but sometimes I wish I did

Because it’s hard to get enough of what you can’t live with out
I watch myself burn as you turn inside out
Bad habits need breaking but the words that I’m thinking
Won’t come near these lips

I don’t drink much but if I did
I could blame looking the fool on the wine that I sip
Oh I stumble, unravel every time you touch my skin
No I don’t drink much but sometimes I wish I did

Because it’s hard to get enough of what you can’t live with out
I watch myself drown as you turn inside out
Bad habits need breaking but the words that I’m thinking
Won’t come near these lips

Oh staying or leaving
Loving or needing
Tell me which ones the greater sin
I don’t want to lose you but sometimes I wish I did

Because it’s hard to get enough of what you can’t live with out
I‘m burning, drowning as you turn inside out
Bad habits need breaking but the words that I’m thinking
Won’t come near these lips

I don’t want to lose you
No no I don’t want to lose you
But sometimes I wish I did
Wish I did

I Don't Feel

Two lovers holding hands the way we use to do
Like to tell her girl you just don’t know what you’re getting into
Seems like only yesterday that was me and you
Till you traded me off for some younger girl how could you be so cruel

The sun is shining an I wished it’d leave
There's no reason birds should sing such a sweet melody
Tell all those people to stop their smiling why can’t they see
Right now I don’t feel like feeling happy

The flowers are all in bloom dancing in the breeze
Shades of violet and red like the dress that you said looks so good on me
For such a lovely day I think it’s such shame
Burden with misery that I’d much rather see wickedness in the sky since you told me goodbye

The sun is shining an I wished it’d leave
There's no reason birds should sing such a sweet melody
Tell all those people to stop their smiling why can’t they see
Right now I don’t feel like feeling happy

Give me the wrath and the wind of a hurricane
Show me a path of destruction let him take the blame
I need a change of weather before I go insane
Right now I don't feel like feeling happy

The sun is shining how I wished it’d leave
There's no reason birds should sing such a sweet melody
Tell all those people to stop their smiling why can’t they see
Right now I don’t feel like feeling happy
