Bio
Alissa Oh is a young and talented teenage music artist that is quickly gaining a solid reputation for producing very catchy, meaningful and powerful pop songs.
Beyond her years in maturity and ambition, Alissa cleverly focuses her lyrics on topics important to her peers and speaks directly to her generation. Her song “Why Can’t I Be Different?” celebrates the freedom of being independent and different. Due to the song’s particular smart lyric and equally distinctive melody, the song has already garnering commercial attention. It’s a winner. Her other smartly crafted songs, such as “Dear Julie”, explore similarly strong stated themes with equal satisfying melodic structures.
At just 17 years old, Alissa grew up and currently resides in Hamilton, Ontario. During her childhood, Alissa was surrounded by great volumes of contemporary music. Growing up in a immensely creative musical environment and immersion into the art of songwriting, Alissa naturally connected to the craft of songs as a means to express herself.
Though easily comparable to various successful young female pop artists whether its Avril Lagvine, Taylor Swift, Pink or Mylie Cyrus, it becomes instantly obvious that Alissa Oh has her own pop sound.
Combining Alissa’s talents with the dynamic production team of Blair O’Halloran (Sulk, Attic Records, Hi-Bias Records, Warner-Chappel International) and Adam Langley (Mentor Music, Soundhouse Studios, Donna Ferra) has resulted in an extremely solid high quality 4 song debut EP from a quickly upcoming young artist.
Alissa’s debut EP, thoughtfully named “Different” displays thoughtful pop sensibilities for her generation and for the enjoyment of all!
