Alistair Smout

Alistair Smout had been writing songs ever since he started playing guitar - but early bands had always fallen through. In October 2008 he took the initiative and focussed on writing songs with a view to performing them alone. Liberated musically by his discovery of open tunings, he created accessible yet unique guitar pieces, complemented by insightful lyrics. He cites his two biggest influences as Bob Dylan and Radiohead, two very different acts but with equally powerful effects on his songwriting style.
