Bio
Originating from Killeen, T.X., "YT" also known as "Yung Texxus", first emerged on the scene in The Source Magazine's "Unsigned Hype" column in 2005. A few years later he and his group "Green City," inked a deal with the legendary Scarface of The Ghetto Boys. They dropped an album entitled "Brand New Money" released through S.M.C./Universal records.
Going solo, Y.T. did a short stint with Desert Storm South and DJ Clue, releasing a single called "Buss it Open," featuring Atlanta Artist Yung Joc. After, Y.T. continued to hone his skill as a solo artist dropping a series of original music called "Throw Aways" Volumes 1-3. In 2009 Y.T. won "Best Freestyle on a Mixtape" at the S.E.A.'s or "Southern Entertainment Awards." In 2011 he dropped his critically acclaimed "Throw Aways III: The Final Chapter" with DJ Scream, winning him another S.E.A. for "Indie Rap Artist of the Year." In 2013 Y.T. got to work with another legend, Bun B of U.G.K. on the record "I'm Comin' Down". In November 2015 Y.T. unveiled his new EP to all Digital retailers called "Think Rich". He is currently touring the U.S. promoting the new project.
