AllAboutTheHero is a Christian hip hop group that strives to show God in their songs and actions. Cody McCracken started the group when he decided that he wanted to share his testimony in a rap. Cody jotted down some song ideas, and invited Matthew Smith into the group to create the beats, master the songs, be a male vocalist and a male rapper, and to help write some of the songs. Now the group consisted of two male rappers, and a male vocalist. To add a new sound to the group they added Alexa Gollehon, a female vocalist, rapper, and lyricist. The three of them claimed the name AllAboutTheHero to remind them that no matter how big their music became, they were doing it for God. All of the glory goes to Him.
With the musical influences from artists like Trip Lee, Lecrae, Flame, and Andy Mineo, AllAboutTheHero has an edgy, yet smooth sound. They constantly mix it up with new rhythmic beats, and lyrics that they know will touch the lives of their listeners.
Cody McCracken, male rapper and lyricist, grew up in Saltville, Virginia. 21 year old McCracken dedicated his life to the Lord at the age of 18. Although he experienced a sinful, traumatic past, Cody quickly learned that God loved him anyway. He dropped his sinful ways, and avidly followed Christ, sharing his testimony with anyone who would listen. Cody knew that he wanted to be a Christian rapper when he realized he could share his feelings and testimony in song, and reach more people than ever before.

21 year old Matthew Smith, male rapper, vocalist, lyricist, and producer, grew up in Glade Spring, Virginia. He dedicated his life to Christ at the young age of 8. He has struggled with his faith because of the many people who have walked into his life, but still keeps a smile on his face by giving God praise and avidly seeks to find people in need of the Lord's love. Matthew always loved making music and singing, so coming into the group wasn't a big change, but he soon realized how uplifing and revived making music for Christ was. Not only does Matt help write songs for AATH, but he also writes and records some of his own personal music.

Alexa Gollehon is the youngest member of the group. At the age of 16 she is already writing, rapping, and singing songs that glorify her Heavenly Father. Alexa dedicated her life to God at the early age of 8, and has been eager to share her musical talents He has blessed her with since. Before she joined AllAboutTheHero, Alexa sang in a group called Acoustic Faith with her mother and two other band members. Wanting to switch things up, Alexa joined AATH with a very open mind. Although she has not composed a complete song for her new band, she edits what the other members come up with, and she writes some of the choruses and third verses to the songs.
