Allantte

"Pain is preparation for one's destiny" this is the motto of Floridian native Allantte[uh_lawn_tay]. He's lived a life filled with pain, & heartache. From a near death experience to sleeping on the streets. He believes every struggle he ever dealt with in his life served and will continue to serve as preparation for his future. The first time he found himself crying over a brokenheart in 1998, while listening to the radio play Brandy's "Have U Ever" ballad. He promised himself that one day he'd have an impact on someone's life the way the song had in impact on his. That started his path of creative writing. He grew up very quiet, timid, and private but when it came to music he'd quickly shift gears. Afterwards, Allantte began recording in studios, reading books on the business of the industry, and studying others artist and songwriters. But it wasn't until his 2005 internet single "My Bad" recieved over 20,000 spins over internet radio that Allantte stopped calling his hobby a "Music Thing" but a instead a "Music Careeer".
Since then he’s been on hiatus, perfecting his craft, and finding his sound. With a lyrical ability that is equivalent to the great love-song writer Diane Warren, along with penning catchy, ear-popping hooks similar to Terius "TheDream" Nash. Their’s no denying his songwriting techniques. He's opened up for Pretty Ricky's Former Member "Pleasure P". His lyrics can paint pictures in your mind, & his voice can draw you in. His music can tell stories that vary in comparison, It's diverse in the sense it can be light, & fun then switched to heavy and emotional.
Now with a better understanding of his artistry & gift, he's persuing his goals with the release of his 2008 (EP) titled "First Impression". He embodies an old-school foundation with a new-school swagger, being that his major influences are Percy Sledge, Otis Redding, Mary J Blige, Brandy, & R.Kelly. He's taken the roots of old general r&b and has added a new hip/relax vibe creating a genre he calls rhythm & bounce. With a voice that is both smooth, & raspy, many have compared him to Bobby Valentino, & Brian Casey (Jagged Edge). If his talent is any indication there’s no doubt that the singer/songwriter’s "First Impression" will not be his last.
