Allegro Star

In 2005, Sara and Terrance were involved in their own separate musical projects, with Terrance performing hip-hop and Sara doing pop music with two different bands. In late 2006, the two began collaborating in the project that would eventually become “Allegro Star”. Band members came and went, but it seemed that Terrance and Sara were the strongholds of the music’s solidity.
At their first show as a duo, the booking agent asked, “How many people are in your band?” Sara held up two fingers and replied, “Two”. Met with skepticism, the two went on stage and turned heads with the full sound created by the tight rhythms of the drums, vocal harmonies, keyboard strength, and the lyrical writing of the music. Occasionally, Allegro Star will invite guest performers to play with them, but are best known for their surprising abilities as a duo.

Sara was born in Indiana and grew up on a small rabbit farm. She studied Voice, Piano, Clarinet and Violin at Indiana State University, and later graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Music Ed.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Washington D.C, Terrance studied Voice at The University of the Arts in Philly and has experience in opera, soul, funk, jazz, hip-hop, R&B and gospel styles. Percussion and Drums are a natural talent for him, and music is his passion.
