Allen Strong

I have been writing songs on the acoustic guitar since I was a kid. My influences come straight out of the deep, rich, acoustic musicians of the sixties and early seventies. Among the bigger name songwriters my influences run along the lines of Dylan, Van Morrison, Cat Stevens, or Neil Young; But some of the more obscure influences had just as powerful an impact on my songwriting and singing styles, musicians like Richie Havens or The Incredible String Band, or international singers like Demis Roussos, Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn, or Juan Gabriel.

I am lucky to be joined now with some really tremendous musicians. The inventive Bryan Lewis who experiments in electronic tone, Damon Frick the guitar virtuoso and guitar encyclopedia, TJ Green who is a percussion wiz, and Jairo Aleman who tears up the bass and is a singer/songwriter in his own right.

We combine my rich traditional songwriting style with the power and skill of some really magnificent musicians in this truly AWESOME line-up!!
