"All Mixed Up Named KZOK's Rocktastic Band of The Week"

This band is Eighties-tastic in a rock star that just punched you in the face kind of way (which in my book is just great). All Mixed Up is a mystical mix of 80's covers and The Cars tribute band. And boy do these boys know how to ROCK OUT!

Unlike many bands out there, All Mixed Up, was nominated as rocktastic band of the week to me by someone other than one of their band members. Now don’t get me wrong, its cool to nominate yourself because self promotion is highly important, but when a fellow audio engineer tells me to check something out, I know it has merit. During my first look at this band, exploring the interweds and what not, I kinda fell in love with the flashback to the 80's. This band not only covers 80's music but still lives there with the neon colors, converse and acid washed jeans. Their music is like living in a John Hughes movie and having Duckie (pretty in pink) as your best friend. So PLEASE, I beg you, check them out and show them the KZOK love and support, because these guys truly deserve some respect for this wicked trip back in time.

Our Tribute To The Cars:

All 5 band members have been huge fans of The Cars since high school. We couldn’t make up our minds which of their hits we wanted to play so we’re doing them all. Our tribute covers over 20 songs, including Drive, Let’s Go, My Best Friend’s Girl, Magic, Let the Good Times Roll, Just What I Needed, and Candy-O just to name a few...

All Mixed Up is Pretty In Pink:

It’s hard to mention the 80’s without bringing up John Hughes, the Brat Pack and all of the great movies from that decade. Our sets include signature songs from some of the most beloved flicks of the time like “Wouldn’t it Be Good” / Nik Kershaw (Pretty In Pink), “I Go Crazy” / Flesh For Lulu (Some Kind of Wonderful), “The Power of Love” / Huey Lewis & the news (Back To The Future), “I Melt With You” / Modern English (Valley Girl), Turning Japanese / The Vapors (Sixteen Candles), “Don’t You Forget About Me” / Simple Minds (Breakfast Club), and, of course, “Pretty In Pink” itself by The Psychedelic Furs.

Outside The Box - Beyond The 80's:

Living up to our name, we’ll mix up our shows a bit with some classic rock and contemporary music too. Standbys like “Sweet Home Alabama” / Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Roadhouse Blues” / The Doors, and “No Matter What” / Badfinger are some of our favorites. At times we’ll even throw in a song or two like “Staring At The Sun” / U2, “Are U Gonna Be My Girl” / JET or “Clocks” / Coldplay.

Season's Greetings From All Mixed Up:

Let us know how we can help you keep on rockin’ during the holiday season! Whether you need a band to rock up some holiday classics or just want to end your New Year’s Eve party with a toe tapping rendition of “Auld Lang Syne” - let us know and we’ll deliver!
