Bio

Joey Kelly: Joey Kelly is one of the most prolific, successful singer-songwriters. Prior to his musical career being fully defined, Joey was the Liaison at both Mudd Club & Max's Kansas City. "Soon after, I found myself musically and socially involved with New York City's most prestigious and elegant, pathetic and pompous, privileged and broken, gifted and talented people in Rock and Roll's High Society.

I was able to turn all that energy into a positive networking fusion of music, song, ideas and collaborations with friends, both old and new that continue to this day. "One could not prepare for what was to become The Rock and Roll Education of a Lifetime. I had no idea I would be involved with music and art's most talented and accomplished people. That's when everything changed for me."

One of music’s most distinctive voices, Joey Kelly has won acclaim worldwide for both his insightful studio/solo work and as the Charismatic Lead Vocalist for many bands, as of late "Buddy Love," the recently reunited power pop quartet that took America by storm in 1980. Throughout the years, Joey went on to perform, tour or record with some music's best.

As a songwriter & engineer, Joey's compositions and work took his music to the top of the charts repeatedly and has co-written hits with a diverse group of artists. As a record producer & engineer, he’s worked with many of the biggest names in music - his collective works selling over 5 million units worldwide. Kelly's imprint on producing, engineering and musical direction have truly been major events.

Joey has also been successful with Jingle & Voice Over Work for Video Games & Commercials. Joey has done commercials for Dannon, Toyota, Proctor and Gamble, Korbel, Panasonic, Nascar, 7up, MTV, VH1 & Dell to name a few.

Rocco: With the New Wave movement in NYC, in the late 1970’s, Rocco formed a 1950’s style band, Buzz and the Flyers. He pioneered “Stand up” style of drumming, playing a snare drum while standing up. The Flyers were on a British label, Nervous Records. They were produced by Richard Gottehrer, and Micky Most. Also, on Sing Sing records, produced by Syl Sylvain.

The Flyers supported the Clash on their legendary tour, at Bond Nightclub in NYC, and were also successful in London.

Other bands included, The Flipped Fedoras, The Blue Vipers (produced by Alex Chilton), The Razorbacks, and Freddy Frogs, No Frills Band, which had a rotating all-star line-up. Included in the line-up were: Gene Cornish (Rascals), Tommy Byrnes (Billy Joel), Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), John Turi (Cindy Lauper), Tom Finn (Left Bank), Tommy Shaw (Styx).

Luigi Babe: Where do I start- I was born in Gravesend, Brooklyn - near Coney Island on West 10 th St.Went to Ps 248 kindergarden then Saint Simon and Jude. It was the last of the Italian neighborhoods. My mother (God rest her soul) said it was the day Da' Brooklyn Dodges won the World Series. I hitch hiked across the country at 15 years old. My first band was Jimmy James and the Jumping Flames featuring Luigi Von Score and the Ricotta Boys-1978. Next band was Luigi and WiseGuy w/ Frankie Rage-1979. Then I played with Johnny Thunders in Costra Nostra with my departed friend Tony Cario - no one had a bigger heart than him. I have played on stage with Cheeta Crome, Mick Jones and Steve Jones Alan Vega Justin Love and recorded a single with BO DIDDLEY in London 1980 with Tommy Byrnes and Eddie Von Bach. 2007 had my first book published "Acting Teachers of America," with my partner Ron Rand.

Currently working on next book - South Beach early 90's. I produced a short film called "COUPLES" with writer director, Roberto Rizzo, it aired at Cannes 2008 and I'm very proud of that too.
Currently I'm playing music again after a long break from all the bull xxxx that goes along with making music with musicians.

I realize that it is music and photography that fuels my soul. I am playing with Hillary Flowers and we do all our own originals. I'm also the guitar player in All MOBBED UP with my childhood friends Rocco De Rubis and Joey Kelly - it's like we’re kids again. It’s the same old bull but at least I know they love me and I love them. I got a tell you it’s a lot fun. I guess you really can't ever leave the neighborhood.

Danny Ray: Danny Ray, (born, Dan Feinstein, February 1, 1951, New York, NY) is an American tenor saxophonist, known for his exploding sax style, evolved from early punk rock and R&B roots.
He is currently playing in an eclectic project called Mad Juana, with rock bassist Sami Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks, Jetboy, Demolition 23, New York Dolls), Karmen Guy (NYC singer, songwriter, artist, model), Marni Rice (electric accordion), Mal Stein (drums), Paul Garisto (drums, percussion), (Jesse Malin), Frank London (trumpet)(Klezmatics, Frank London's Klezmer Brass All-Stars...), Zach Brock (electric violin) (Stanley Clarke Band...) and George De Voe (guitar).
