Paul Grenier (aka All of One) has released his second EP “The Writing on the Wall”
Paul Grenier is a singer/songwriter from Port Colborne, Ontario. He has been writing for as long as he can remember and cannot seem to nor does he want to stop. He put together a compilation of songs which have been placed on the back burner of his life while he continued writing and playing rock music. Someday those songs would re-surface when the time is exactly right.
It seems that Paul took the step to uncover these heartfelt songs and is now getting ready to release them for the universe to hear and experience. The title of the EP is “The Writing on the Wall” which carries a lead single with the same title. It is about love, relationships, family and the journey that goes with it, whether it be good or bad. These types of events are the kind that shape the future of your life and everything you do. The song “The Writing on the Wall” is a ballad with much introspective thought and analysis. It provokes audiences to dig deep into their own souls and examine their own relationships. Paul Grenier’s music fills audience members with images and experiences. This single is also representative of the overall sound that Paul delivers.The lyrical content and the musical arrangements may sometimes include piano and cello giving his songs a full-bodied sound. The story lines are touching with a melody that reflects the feeling of the project itself. The soothing acoustic feel of these songs are a welcoming change from what is available on the airwaves. It has taken a long time to put this EP together and coming to fruition, it holds a special place in his heart.
Paul Grenier had a single in small rotation in Ontario Canada from when he was in high school and toured an EP on the back of it at that time. He sold 5000 copies of the album “Cuscus” with the band Kottmeier . Paul is looking to spread his music and is hoping to plan a tour to promote this new EP.
“The Writings on the Wall” was released in its digital format on December 12, 2012 followed by its physical release in early 2013.

My name is Paul Grenier, I live in the small town of Port Colborne, in southern Ontario, Canada. I am 34 years old and I have been writing music since I was 13 years old. I started out writing pop songs when I was in high school and put together a band with some friends in my neighborhood. We played in my garage for a year or so and put together a ten song set to take on the road. We went by the name Kottmeier
We played shows around our area and over time built a decent sized fan base. It turned into an every weekend kind of thing. In 1994 we made a deal with an indie label in Niagara Falls called Corduroy Records The label took us into the studio to record a professional EP. The EP was called Cuscus and was released in the spring of 1995.
After a year of touring around Ontario and parts of Quebec playing shows we managed to sell over 5000 copies of our album and had two singles that received airplay on 102.1 the edge and at the time 101.1 the planet. Songs from this band can be heard at www.reverbnation.com/kottmeier
After high school the band separated to pursue college and was reunited briefly in 2002 and aside from a few recordings never came back.
In 2005 I began playing in a band called The Makshftr with some old friends. This band was a rock band with an edge, and featured heavy guitars with a more progressive sound and was accompanied by sequenced VST instruments. The band recorded a demo that we put up on the reverbnation website. It was very well received and have accumulated nearly 15000 fans to date. We made are way up the reverb rock charts to number 1 for our local area and in the top 100 nationally, and we are currently sitting at number 7 and 124th nationally. The band is getting ready to go back into the studio in 2013 to record a full album that should be out sometime in the summer of 2013. The demo can be heard at www.reverbnation.com/themakshftr
Currently I am working on my project called All of One. My solo songs are very different from anything that I have done in the past and are quite a bit more personal for me. This project spawn from an email that I received from a company called A&R Select. They found one of my songs online that I put up for whatever reason and offered their services to me. After some thought I decided to go into the studio to record a demo of my solo stuff. "All of One" is a compilation of music complied of soft acoustic guitars, pianos, cellos, and melodic vocals. I recorded ten songs for them to review and there was a handful that my contact Joe had cited as being strong. I decided to take the picks they had along with another couple of new ones I had and went off to record a six song EP.
Following a theme of love and relationships, The Writings On The Wall gives a peak into my personal life over the past couple of years. The songs are about the ups and downs of dealing with relationships and everyday life, and come from personal experiences of mine. There are six full song on the EP and an instrumental 7th song that came out when I was tracking and really captures the mood I was in at the time. In the future I plan to continue to work on many music projects as it is a passion for me and will be with me my entire life. Some 2013 projects include, The Makshftr release, which should be summer, and a new All of One album towards the end of the year.
