"Very good! 5/6"

A mix of indie and glam with references to everything from Pulp and Roxy Music to Franz Ferdinand and The Killers, and a lead singer that here and there sounds exactly like David Bowie.

Smooth backing vocals, creative details and an intensity perfectly suited for big arenas. - BA - Bergensavisen

"Kitschrock revolution"

All That And A Bag Of Chips music and the voice of Francis Year has proven to split the audience in two, either you hate it or you love it. I love it!
5/6 "Kitschrock"

"KITSCHROCK to the people!"

"Take Me To Your Leader" is the best opening track I´ve heard so far this year!

"Kitschrock"

Wonderful details, pompous, musical turns and weird lyrics with meaning (surprisingly).

"Promising"

It's easy to picture All That And A Bag Of Chips on the front cover of NME in not too long. 5/6

Bio

The idea of All That and a Bag of Chips came to life when Superhead (rhythm guitar) and Francis Year (vocals) invited the three most handsome guys in school, Brett Specter (lead guitar), Simon Diamond (bass) and Olga (drums), home for a private jam session with free food and drinks... The two guys who invited had written some songs they usually performed at after-parties to impress girls (and maybe boys?), a trick that often worked. "Did you guys really write those songs?" people would often ask, "They're really cool, god damn it! You should start a band!" The two boys would go on like this for quite a while, playing their pearls for swine without taking any of the complements they were given seriously. It wasn't until the more serious rock and roll-know-it-all-friends began agreeing with the complements that the boys vision started to take form. And then the boys did, as mentioned earlier, invite the three most handsome musicians for an informal rehearsal. The rehearsal was an immediate success. The three newcomers gave the songs the energy and elegance that Superhead and Year had been dreaming of. All That And A Bag Of Chips was a fact. At the end of the summer of 2004 All That And A Bag Of Chips played their debut concert before the full crowded cellar of Samfunnet in Oslo. Amongst the audience stood the expecting rock and roll-friends and after party girls, and when the band hit the stage the atmosphere turned beyond ecstatic. In 2004, the band recorded their EP Music To Go in the George Martin Studios in Liverpool and played at several highly regarded stages in Oslo such as Blå, Mono and Garage. Their EP "Music To Go" was released December 2005 on Luckee Records. In 2006 the band agreed to be a part of a TV show called "Usett: Bye & Rønning show" where 100.000 people watched them play every week. At the same time ATAABOC went back to Liverpool and recorded their first full-length album "Kitschrock". The band played more shows than ever before, including festivals. "Take Me To Your Leader" was the first single from the record, and was released January 2007 to radio and tv-stations. The video was a hit and made it to the charts on ZTV. "Kitschrock" was released October 8th 2007, and it's now getting harder and harder for All That And A Bag Of Chips to hold on to their underground status. Their music might give associations to artists such as David Bowie, The Clash, The Who and Roxy Music. The only thing they say about their music themselves is that they play rock. Kitschrock.
