NEW BRAUNFELS — In a by-New-Braunfels, for-New-Braunfels gesture, local band ALLus KILLus will host a fundraising concert in honor of New Braunfels resident Logan Doell, a friend of the band who died in a Aug. 11 motorcycle accident, leaving behind three young children.
“It’s all New Braunfels artists, all New Braunfels companies — just get the community together,” said the rock/alternative band’s vocalist, Jozeph Grubbs. Local DJ Saylebot will open and close Saturday’s fundraiser at Landa Station. The band will perform at 10:30 p.m. - By Kate Thomas The Herald-Zeitung

Bio

ALLus KILLus is a rock band from New Braunfels, Texas, combining influences that span decades as well as the geographical styles from San Antonio to Austin. From the metal scene in San Antonio, the Top 40 of New Braunfels, the Ska and Punk of San Marcos, to the Indie of Austin, ALLus KILLus combines them into a concoction they dub Creep Rock. Think Ska, Metal, Punk, and Grunge.

ALLus KILLus (also known as A. K.) have powerful, catchy songs with deep lyrics that stick in your head for days. Vocals that can serenade as well as scream with memorable melodies to boot. The tasteful, and quality guitar riffs are as surprising as they are satisfying. The heavy pounding drum and bass force a steam roller of rhythm that makes each song powerful while forcing heads to bob. Their distilled take on music makes ALLus KILLus stand apart from the haze of the overly complex and layered modern rock scene.

The shows have had a great impact on people, so much so it has given them the finances to pay for professional recordings. The enthusiasm from new audiences hearkens back to something akin to the fledgling underground punk scene of the 80's and the grunge scene of the 90's with a modern 2012 twist.

Their bedroom recorded single "The Ides of March" set many things in motion and has appeared on Traditional and College radio. Its success has emboldened A. K. to record an EP to be released in the Spring of 2013.

The name ALLus KILLus represents the dichotomy of mankind wanting unity and peace while constantly remaining separate at war. Two sides of the same coin that is humanity. Their moto is Magick! AnarcKy! rEVOLUTION! MagicK means to make your own path. AnarcKy means to let everyone have the chance to make their own path (hence the added K). And rEVOLUTION means to change the world and evolve. This is the core of ALLus KILLus and they will spread this idea as far and as wide as they possibly can.
