Bio
Singing has always been a part of my life. I grew up singing in the car along with the radio to songs like "Kiss Me" and "Fancy". My favorite songs where ones that told a story. As I grew older my famliy began to see my love and passion for singing. I got my first guitar when I was in middle school. It was a Walmart starter guitar and I never played it. It sat in the corner in my room until a string broke and I lost the pin. I gave it to my mom and told her she could have it. Then, Christmas, my sophmore year, I had a huge present. I got a guitar. I didn't know what to think or how to react. I already had one that I never played. My grandfather told me that a Martin guitar was special and that I should treasure it. By January I was starting lessons. I learned four chords: E minor, G, C and D. It seemed that we never really moved forward and I decided that I could just teach myself. I have playing and learning ever since.
I have been playing for almost two years now and have written numerous songs. I learned to play every Taylor Swift song I could find and countless other country songs. I then decided that if I ever wanted to be a singer I would need an edge. So I began writing. I had always been a writer of short stories or poems but now I had a new challenge. My first song was called In My Life, talking about fairytales and princes. I began looking at my life and the lives of my friends, dreams that I had for myself and what I hoped the future would hold and I wrote songs about it. I write songs that everyone can relate to. Each song has a story and a purpose. There is a meaning and feeling behind every note. I believe people will see that, feel that and want more.
