All Year Round – Biography

All Year Round – Jacqueline Kyriacou, George Solomon, Paul Bakker, Luke Lutze, Oscar Lang- George- drummer and Paul- guitarist formed a bond over music in early 2010 realising they had a strong musical connection they decided to combine their talent to form a band. Realising they were in desperate need of a singer they adopted Jacqueline with her strong soul inspired voice into their growing band. Just starting out they were determined to make their mark on Adelaide.

The opportunity arose to play the Seaford Hotel ‘battle of the bands’ in April of 2010. For this the band needed a little extra help and sourced two extra musicians who combined with the other three members, won the battle of the bands. After playing more shows, this joint group recorded a 5 track demo, consisting of 4 original songs and 1 cover song. After receiving exciting feedback from their fans they knew they needed to find the last two permanent members of the band.

Looking to find the two missing pieces of their band they came across Luke – lead guitarist and Oscar- bass guitarist. Luke having played in other Adelaide bands, ‘Taken by chance’ and ‘Some Time Soon’ and Oscar with his Jazz background in music became very essential parts of the band. Together their talents combined with the other members of the band provided a new exciting sound and “All Year Round” was born and ready to take on the music scene.

Having been accomplished writers striving to find the unique punk rock sounds which make them ‘All Year Round’ they then recorded at Frequency Studios in Melbourne in early August 2011 with producer Beau Mckee (once a member of Closure in Moscow). Pleased with what they had achieved they set out to establish their new 5 track demo. Attracting the attention of fans in Adelaide with their punk rock sounds they expanded their horizons by blasting out their tunes on stage at shows such as Double M Fest on October 31st 2011 with Paulini and Stan Walker from Australian Idol, Schorcher Fest, Semaphore music festival: October 2010, Schoolies: November 2011, Heatwave Festival: January 2012, Fuse Festival: February 2012 and shows such as Bring on the Summer and Just Jamming Productions at Fowlers Live.

‘Watch out for All Year Round rising from the depths of the music industry.’
