In her own words...

Right before I take the stage, I always get butterflies. Yet, as I walk towards the microphone to face the audience before me, they fade away. I take a deep breath, and realize that it is here, on the stage that I belong. 

I am originally from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada but I have spent most of my life living in Freehold, NJ. Growing up, I was inspired to sing while attending an apostolic church. I even formed a gospel band with my 6 brothers and sisters. When I turned 15, I began taking voice lessons at Music University in Freehold to become a more professional vocalist. Over time, I found myself in front of audiences at B.B King's in NYC, the American Hotel in Freehold and much more. I would sing song songs by artists like Christina Aguilera, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin. Audiences would all cheer for me, but I realized that I didn't just want to be praised for sounding or trying to be like another artist. I wanted to create a career of my own that would depend on my originality and artistry. So I began writing songs and headed into the studio to discover my voice.

Right now, I am working with my band, The Ally Mac Project to release my debut album in summer 2015. I am also singing as the lead vocalist in a 19 piece jazz and hip-hop big band called, BIG BEAT. I hope you'll stick around to see what's next and follow me on this road to my dreams! There are butterflies, but now I know that that's the prelude to something wonderful.
