Ally Way

Ally Way is the daughter of a gospel choir director and a Duke Ellington School of the Arts singer and dancer; Way has been harmonizing from the womb on! Ally's musical ears began soaking in the spiritual sounds of the city between Washington, DC and East London becoming saturated with the soul of a gospel choir. Between over-the-top grade school musical theater productions and church choirs and overtime graduated into the University of Maryland's School of Music. Ally has been performing and learning a multitude of musical styles and song structures to make a living as a full-time singer-songwriter and voice coach. She wrote her first song at the age of four, and become a refined songwriter who can rejuvenate and relate to listeners of all ages. Satisfying her need for variety she's sang in New Orleans with jazz legends in 2004, she's had her feet dipped in the electronic music scene of Brooklyn in 2006, and most recently has featured in Solar Publishing's latest children's E.P. "Earth Day Everyday" in 2009. She's known for her hardcore original tunes and is a self-taught engineer and producer. Singles from her to-be-named debut LP are turning heads and ears with her creative sound of solid gold.

Piano training for Ally began at age eight, followed by work with jazz guitarist Noble Jolley as a teen. Ally went on to study classical voice at the University of Maryland, College Park with some of the world's most gifted instructors and conductors. Growing up on singer-songwriters Lauryn Hill, Jewel and Sarah McLaughlin, Ally gravitated toward the power of simplicity. She continues to "Wow!" audiences everywhere with her raw talents, cheerful persona and powerful lyrics. AK Way Publishing is taking off as Ally is beginning to partner with some of the strongest in music-television relations. Her song-writing abilities continue to broaden in every way.
