2-Headed Monstah

Written By: AL

2-Headed Monstah

She Was Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
I Don't Know How She Did It
Or What I Had Done
She Was All Over Me Like A Son-Of-A-Gun
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me

Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
Like A Two Head Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
A Two Headed Monster
All Over Me
A Two Headed Munstah
She Was All Over Me
She Really Knew Her Stuff
And Was So Damn Slick
I Must Have Been Drunk
Cause I Fell For Her Trick
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me

Bridge:

She Was A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me
A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me
Didn't Wanna Stay
Didn't Wanna Leave
I Couldn't Believe
I Was So Naieve
A Two Headed Monster
All Over Me

Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me
Was It Something I Did
Or Something I Said
It Felt Like She Took A Brick And Hit Me Up Side The Head
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me

Bridge:

Well I Never Felt This Way
Never felt So Bad
I Know I Never Been Hit So Hard
Don't Remember What I Said
Didn't Know What Was Happening
But I Knew It Was Wrong
I Must Have Said Something
That I Shouldn't Have Said
Like A Two Headed Monster
She Was All Ove Me

She Was A Two Headed Monster
She Was All Over Me
Like A two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
A Two Headed Monster
All Over Me
She Was A Two Headed Monster
She Was All Over me
A Two Headed Monster
All Over Me
Don't Know What I Did
Don't Know What I Had Said
It Felt Like She Knocked Me... Side The Head
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me

Solo:

Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
She Was A Two Headed Monstuh
She Was All Over Me
Was It Something I Did
Or Something I Said
Before I Knew What Had Happened
She Had Me In Her Bed
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
She was All Over Me

She Really Had It Going On
And Everybody Knew her Name
I Started Talking To Myself
Fool You Must Have Lost Your Mind
She Had A Quiver In Her Shiver
Some Junk In Her Trunk
When The Sun Came Up
I Said I Must Have Been Drunk
Like A Two Headed Monstuh
All Over Me

Bridge:

Untill I Crossed That Line
I Did'n't Wanna Stay
But I Couldn't Walk Away

Bridge:
Yeah...She Thought She Was So Damn Slick
With All Her Dirty Rotten Tricks
She Talked A Whole Lot of Trash And Always Fussin'
She Drank Too Muck Whiskey And Always Cussin'
Messed Around With Every "Ole Ma In Town
Treated Me Like I Was A Sho Nuff Clown

Sending A Shout Out To My Ex-Wife
She's locked-Up In The County Jail
Yeah...This Is A Shout-Out To My Ex-Wife
She's Up-Town In The County Jail
I Hope She Got Her Own Private Cell
She Put Me Thru A Whole Heap Of Hell

She Talked A Whole Lot Of Trash
She Took All My Cotton-Pickin' Cash
Ain' Emuch' Gon' Brang You No Cigarettes
I Got So Sick And Tired Of Yo Death Threats
I Don't Wish Nobody No Bad Luck
You Ain't Worth The Dynamite To Blow You Up
I Hope They Lose The Key To Yo' Cell

I Hope You Rot' In That Nasty Cell
For Puttin' Me Thru All That Hell

A Woman Wants A Man That'll Treat Her Right
She Needs The Kind Of Man That's Home At Night

And Give Her Plenty Love...In Every Way
That's What A Woman Wants...
Thats's What She's Wants...

She Needs The Kind Of Man To say It's Ok
When Things Doesn't Seems... To Go Her Way
That's What A Woman Wants...
Thats's What She's Wants...

A Woman wants A Man...To Traet her Right
She Wants The Kind Of Man To Hold Her Tight
Any Time She Wants It...
Any Time She Needs It......That' What She Wants

Bridge:

She Needs The Kind Of Man To Say...Everyday
And Give Her Tender Loving...In Every Way
She Needs The Kind Of Man To Say...It's Alright

The Kind Of man...That Lets her have her Way
When Things Gets Rough...
And The Going Gets Tough...
She Needs To Know Her Man Is Man Enough

Just Tryin' To Be Me

Written By: AL "Coffee" McDaniel

Just Tryin’ To Be Me

I'm Just Tryin' To Be Me
Just Tryin' To Be Myself
Tryin' To Do My Thang
This Is What I Do
This Is Just Who I Am
What It Is, Is What It Is
You Do Your Thang
Let Me Do My Thang

Just Trying To Have a little fun before I die.
There's more to this than meets the eye.
Don't hang me out to dry.
Sooner or later we all have to die.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
We don't always see eye to eye.
Tempers are running high.
What kind of fool am I?

I'm Just Tryin' To Be Me
Just Tryin' To Be Myself
Tryin' To Do My Thang
This Is What I Do
This Is Just Who I Am
What It Is, Is What It Is
You Do Your Thang
Let Me Do My Thang

I may not be perfect but Heaven knows I try.
There's no use wondering why.
I Do The Things I Do
The Word Can't, means afraid to try.
I'll never know the reason why.
I Do The Things I Do
Don't Worry About Me
Just Let Me Do My Thang
"Cause, What It Is, Is What It Is

‘Coffee' McDaniel Pours
Smooth Blend Of Blues, R&B

By CURTIS ROSS The Tampa Tribune
Published: October 12, 2007

Tampa blues artist Al “Coffee” McDaniel made his latest album, “Blues in My Shoes,” with help from some big-name friends.

Renowned guitarist-keyboardist Lucky Peterson came in to do one session and stayed on to play on and/or produce six more tracks.

“I guess he liked what he heard,” says a pleased-sounding McDaniel.

An even bigger coup came with Narada Michael Walden, the musician-producer behind hits for Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and more.

An acquaintance of McDaniel's is Walden's cousin, and the producer heard some early cuts of songs from the then in-progress album.

“I let him hear a couple of cuts and he was impressed,” McDaniel says. “I got a call from him a couple months after that saying, ‘What can I do?' I said, ‘You can help me get some exposure,'” McDaniel recalls.

Walden produced and played drums on a remake of the B.B. King classic “The Thrill Is Gone.”

Walden's name may draw some attention to “Blues in My Shoes,” but the star of the album is McDaniel's voice, a deep, smooth instrument as comfortable with low-down blues as it is with sly, slinky R&B.

McDaniel, 53, grew up in Tampa, near Ybor City, leaving when he joined the Air Force at age 18. He later worked for the post office, pursuing music in his spare time.

He left the post office about 10 years ago to focus on music, originally seeking a career in contemporary gospel.

He released a pair of albums and “did OK, but not enough to pay the bills,” he says.

Blues and R&B have proved more lucrative, with “Blues in My Shoes” garnering popularity in the United States as well as Europe and Australia, McDaniel says.

McDaniel says his music operation is in-house, and he's not kidding. He owns his own recording studio, duplicates his own CDs and distributes them on his own CPA Records.

McDaniel performs regularly around the area. He'll be at SouthBeach Sports Grill on Clearwater Beach tonight. Other dates are posted on his Web site (almcdaniel.com).

The nickname “Coffee” came during a stint in a teenage R&B group. While performing The Floaters' 1977 hit “Float On,” the band members would each introduce themselves.

“When I'd talk, I'd say, ‘They call me coffee 'cause I grind so fine,'“ McDaniel says with a hearty laugh.

Set List

The Band prefers to play original music, but is capable of performing covers that includes Jazz, Blues, R & B, Neo-Soul, Smooth Jazz, and Standards.
