Crómatico (2008) is its first album. This name alludes to the colorful artwork of the cover, as long as to the different musical styles gathered in it. There are jazz and bossa nova standards, a Cuban bolero with a flamenco flavor, and four original pieces, three of them composed at the energetic beat of the Brazilian samba.

"Music has no borders." This declaration is true for the members of Along for the Ride, who in some cases have overcome physical borders to find in this band a common ground. Indeed, except for one, all its members come from another country or state and, as incredible as it might sound, there is a gap of roughly 60 years between the age of its youngest and its eldest members! These differences impact its music, which is not restricted to any specific style or language, but which transits between various genres, having as a basis the blues, the jazz, the bossa nova, and the rock. It is perhaps this diversity the reason why this band’s audience is very heterogeneous. During the summer concert series that the band organizes under the suggestive title of “Sin Mura-Jazz” (Without Walls), its public is notable by its plurality: all the different ethnic groups of the United States are usually present, and there have been guests from France, Italy, Japan, Israel, and Iran.
