Alonzo combines all the characteristics of a true diamond in the rough.

Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. Alonzo has always been at one with nature. His music touches on his relationship with the environment, life and love, and more importantly how these emotions, along with a thousand others, have shaped his own experiences. From being the oldest of 10 kids, and often responsible for their well-being, to his experiences on the beach which he now calls home, Alonzo’s tales connect reality and fantasy. These stories are then presented in a performance that is entirely impressive and moving.

At a young age Alonzo taught himself to play the guitar through the influence of Clapton, Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. But it is not until his late teenage years when Alonzo met his musical crossroads – a result of the 3 years he spent living in an old villa in the south of Chile. This experience would not only acquaint him with his Latin American heritage but would also provide the opportunity to search deeply into his musical roots.
Upon returning to Canada he knew that his life would never be the same – he discovered that music was a perfect tool to let his colorful imagination fly.

“At first I didn’t share my songs with anyone. One summer long-weekend I thought I would play a few for my friends. The rush I got from their reaction and their desire to hear more was indescribable. From that day forward I have never stopped playing or writing.”

Alonzo began to develop his extraordinary musicianship along with a charismatic sense of style. The result was an incredible performer capable of relating to the hearts and souls of many generations worldwide.

After ‘being discovered’ and sparking serious interest from North American major labels and publishers, Alonzo has recently signed a representation deal with iB Entertainment & VIDA Ent. Inc. With his career on the verge of ‘taking off’ he has seen the value of his writing through placement on 2 major label albums in the last month.
