The Alpatross, originated in Sao Paulo, was founded in 2009, born of a partnership between Will de Jonge and Gustavo Gonzalez, which initially formed a duo guitarists geared to play their own songs, a mixture of rock, blues and flamenco.
Realizing the limitations of playing with only two guitars, were asked to complete the formation of the band, Eber Teago, Sergio Rodrigues and Roberto Matheus. Making-up the formation: Will de Jonge - (Vocal, guitar and lead eletric guitar, flute and harmonica), Gustavo Gonzalez (eletric guitar, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Eber Teago (bass and backing vocals) Sergio Rodrigues (drums) and Roberto Matheus (keyboards and violin).
With this, the Alpatross starts playing in bars and festivals in Sao Paulo and ABC, aiming to spread the band's name. In 2011 Roberto Matheus decides to abandon the Alpatross. In the same year, the Alpatross go to the studio and starts recording their first album Two Sides *, which is done in the first clip of the band, the song "Two Sides of the Heart". Currently, the band has been working on promoting her album that include songs playing in radios around the Latin America and interviews in a radio on Argentina.
