Although there are more unsigned artists than there are signed it’s worth paying them some attention because more than likely the next big thing is unsigned, on social networks and going to be discovered.
Alpha380 (A380) certainly has raw electronic potential.
A380 is an electronic duo that originally started as a solo project for Alex Pinay in 2009 until he brought in his brother Andrew Pinay to be Lead Guitarist later that year. Earlier on in 2005 when Alex started playing instruments he got involved in a 5 piece project with Frederic Wessberg, Lucas Odenthal, Ryan Dillon and Eddie Watz called City Romantics. Although they never released any material the other members have moved on to different projects like Alex and it’s clear that they have influenced one another during their time spent together and A380 share similar sound with Frederik’s new project Searing Solace. - New Beats Media

Alpha380 started in 2009 by Alex Pinay (Stage name Alexander Shepard.) Influenced by the sounds of David Guetta, Avicii, Benny Benassi, Martin Solveig and Aphex Twin. Alpha380's instruments consist of electronic beats with synthesizers as well as that hint of guitars into the mix to give it a more diverse sound.

Alpha380’s lead single off of this new CD “Satellite” is titled “Tonight, Tonight”. This song is the first track off of this EP and it is also a good indication as to the direction that Alex is taking. It has a very playful dance beat to it with catchy lyrics inspired by punk rock. The recording aspect of this song was done with perfection. Every note is crisp and alive with a very creative guitar riff in the bridge that sends this song into the stratosphere. It is considered Alpha380’s flagship song as it captures the essence of who this group really is. This song, as are all of his songs, is very relatable, memorable and sustainable in this music industry. This EP was released on August 27, 2010 in its digital format. There are also plans to release it in its physical format. Alpha380 is planning to release a follow up EP in the Winter of 2011 and a full length CD in the fall of 2012.
In of 2011, Alpha380 will be featured on 3,244 national and international flights with a potential for 610,000 passengers listening on US Airways featuring the song "Tonight, Tonight". Alpha380 will release the second ep entitled "Lights" containing 6 songs. Plans are made to release a full length album in 2012
2012 brings new light to Alpha380 as there is a full length album in the works entitled "Make A Sound" due for release featuring old and redone and remastered songs. The first single "Terminals" was released Tuesday September 18th 2012 and sent to Canadian Radio stations. The second single "Make A Sound" will be released as a second single along side the new album and sent to the radio stations as well.
Alpha380 has also done remixes for several artists.
