Bio

Alphalex has been ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Hip-Hop for almost a decade. Since giving his life to Christ at almost 18, he has strived for excellence in ministry as well as music. He is a graduate of the Memphis Bible Institute as well as a current student of the Breath of Life Pastor/Teacher Training Institute(P.T.T.I.).

Through the grace of God, he has accomplished a lot in his time in the ministry. He is a founding member of the Holy South (along with Mr. Del), as well as the founder of the (now defunct) New Genesyss(N.G.). He is now currently over The Monopoly, which includes himself, Kayzon(in house producer), and several young up & coming hip-hop ministers.

His travels have led him all over the United States as well as Canada. During his time in the ministry he has had an opportunity to share the stage with such dynamic ministers as Cayerio, D.J. Bo, The Cross Movement, Da T.R.U.T.H., Flame, Corey Red & Precise, Joseph Jennings, The Gospel Gangstas, C-Micah, Triz, The Great Commission, Stephen Wiley, Antonio Neal, Tonex, King Cyz, Breeveazie, J-Kwest, C.O.R.P. 1, Canton Jones, J.R.(of Cross Movement Records), B-Cobb, W.A.R. Klick, Out of Eden, Epic, The Anointed Lyrical Wiz, Ziglag Boys, Verbs, Shonlock, Lil I-Rocc, and many more. He was also featured freestyling in the Holy Hip-Hop movie as well as mentioned in the end credits. To the glory of the Lord, he also made a cameo appearance in the Heal The Hood movie, which premiered in Memphis, TN and also on B.E.T.

He is loved and criticized for the same reasons. He refuses to compromise the message of the gospel to appease listeners. He has been known to give the gospel raw and uncut. This however, has allowed him the opportunity to minister at secular events; The 2002 K-97.1 & Hot 107.1 Summer Jams(both secular radio stations), and at Denim & Diamonds(a secular club) to name a few.

Alphalex knows that he has been called & commissioned Isaiah 61:1, & that is what he does with his music. To be that to those who don't have Christ, & to edify and exhort the Body of Christ.
