Bio
Rising star, actor, and comedian Alphonso McAuley Originally born in New Haven, Connecticut, McAuley moved to Los Angeles with his parents as a child. He found his interest in Theater, acting, and film, when he joined an improvisational workshop that was part of a school program. His passion for acting led him to Hollywood where he began building a quality Stand-Up Comedy career. While in Los Angeles, McAuleys outgoing personality and stage presence helped him land over fifty (50) national commercials (casting directors began requesting him), including, McDonalds, Sprite, and Best Buy (etc). Having made a name for himself in the commercial world, he eagerly pursued film work.
Alphonso will once again shine on the big screen when he co-stars alongside Scott Mecholwicz (Euro Trip) in the Upcoming Film ROADKILL. The film is based on two amateur private detectives (Mecholwicz/McAuley) who discover what could be a government conspiracy when they agree to protect an escort being pursued by an assassin.
Previously, McAuley starred as a series regular in the 2008 Comedy Central Series, CHOCOLATE NEWS with David Alan Grier. He was apart of the swim team in the 2007 Period Drama, PRIDE, with Terrance Howard and Bernie Mac. Also has starred in the 2006 basketball drama, GLORY ROAD where he gave an impressive performance as Orson Artis one of the principal players on the team. McAuleys breakthrough film debut was in 2004 where he entertained us as Bucky, in the hit comedy FAT ALBERT.
