Bio
Alphonso and Jimmie developed a unique musical experience through a teacher - student relationship in the music program at Mississippi Valley State University. Their musical performance evolved from the enjoyment of playing before and after jazz band rehearsals. Other music students would hang around and provide an audience, sometimes for hours of playing gospel, jazz, and blues. "When we play, it's from the heart". Alphonso is the Chair of the Fine Arts Department and Jimmie is music student. Together they are making music fun and interesting in the Mississippi Delta. They are performing original music and preparing to release a CD in tribute to Robert Johnson and BB King.
