Bio
Altamease & Friends was formed after Altamease played with various groups in New York, Detroit and Cleveland. The group is comprised of a four piece ensemble. Rick Jones, Keyboards & Vocals, Mike Brown, Drums & Vocals and Lenny Lucas, Bass. The band plays a variety of smooth jazz and contemporary music. Some of the artist covered are Anita Baker, Rachelle Farrell, Sade, Phyllis Hyman, Chaka Khan, Angie Stone, Motown hits, jazz standards and some blues.
Altamease & Friends has been working together since the 90's and have continued working various engagements throughout the years. Some of the venues include, MGM Grand Casino-Detroit, Baker's Keyboard Lounge (Detroit), Mardi Gras Grille (Cleveland), Wolf Den Lounge (Detroit), Casablanca (New York), The Blue Note (New York), and various private engagements.
Altamease has also traveled with the Liquid Smoke Band on USO tours in Greenland and Newfoundland.
