Altars Of Athens, or AOA for short, is a Christian Rock Band from Sylvania, Ohio formed in the winter of 2010. The name, Altars Of Athens, comes from Acts 17 in the New Testament where Paul, a disciple, is in Athens preaching to the people about the unknown God. To help the people of Athens relate to the unknown God by using an Altar to represent Him. As a band, Altars Of Athens has been called to spread the word and love of God to everyone using the music we play and the lyrics we speak to help our audiences know God and His glory. It is because of God that we can do what we do, and in everything we do, not only in our music but our everyday lives, we do it for God and always give Him the glory and praise Him for what he has blessed us with!!
