Having an epic sound is certainly one way to get our attention, which is what Aluma accomplishes with their alternative-pop style. (It also doesn’t hurt that they hail from our hometown of Oklahoma City). The fact that their instrumentation is so tightly pieced together, it makes them feel like they have been playing together for years. However, the band has only been together since 2012, just enough time to hone in on their crisp sound.
Aluma is led by brothers Gideon (keyboard/vocals) and Micah Rainey (guitar/vocals) with Crosby Bray (formally of The Uglysuit) on drums, and Caden Macmanaman on bass. The foursome has all the charm of good pop intertwined with timeless instrumentation. Add in the catchy melodies and soothing harmonies and Aluma will leave you peacefully restless.

Bio
Aluma is an alternative rock band based out of Oklahoma City lead by brothers Gideon and Micah Rainey. The Rainey brothers both share vocal responsibilities with Gideon on keyboard and Micah on guitar. The band features former drummer for The Uglysuit, Crosby Bray. Aluma's first album was recorded and produced by Aluma in Bray's own I>Void studio. The band also features former bassist for The Uglysuit, Jimmy Nimmo. It's members have played in various musical projects together over the past 5 years. Aluma's debut E.P. "Everything's Just Noise" was released January first of the year 2014.
