Lyrics

There really is no choice

Written By: Al Venturini

There Really is No Choice (Garrett’s song)

There are certain things that are written
There are certain things that are learned
Some things you have control of
Others there is no choice.

We make decisions in our lives
They’re not always right
Sometimes it doesn’t matter
‘cause you really have no choice.

FirstChorus

Lookin’ forward to tomorrow
Lookin’ forward to the change. There are so many things you need to do
Lookin’ forward to it all.

We make excuses for our fears
A refuge for the guilt
Then circumstance and consequence
Begin to control the choice

You never see what lies ahead
If you don’t stop lookin’ back
Then one day you cross a line and then
You realize there is no choice

Second chorus

You really can’t trust anyone
‘Cause you really can’t trust yourself
Maybe you need a change of scene
Until the dust settles down

Now the sun is goin’ down
On a life that’s been around
Time to listen to another voice

Don't care tonight

Written By: Al Venturini

I Just Don’t Care Tonight

You just want to fight about the things you don’t agree with,
The only thing you really want is for you to get your way.

How many times have we been through the same old song and dance Spare me all the pomp and circumstance.

I just don’t care tonight.

You say that you just want to hold me once before you go.
But I know what your tryin’ to do is ease my battered soul.

We’ve been here to many times Can’t take it anymore.
The same old story just repeats itself.

And I just don’t care tonight.

First Chorus

I can’t do this anymore I’m so tired of this game
My eyes can’t cry anymore tears.

Don’t you think the time has come to end this old charade
I just don’t care tonight.

You have lied so many times it’s hard to find the truth
My swollen head’s about to burst
It’s hard to look at you.

So take your things and please be gone stop beggin’ like a dog
I’m a little short of sympathy right now.

I just don’t care tonight

Second Chorus

I don’t care that you are sorry I don’t care that you’re to blame
I don’t care that you won’t see him anymore.

I don’t care how much you love me I don’t care how much you care.

I just don’t care tonight.

Tomorrow is another day the sun is gonna shine
And I know that tonight is gonna be my longest night.

I’m not getting’ any younger and this is getting old
Time for me to find another road.

Cause I just don’t care tonight.

Repeat first chorus

Ain't it funny

Written By: Al Venturini

Ain’t it Funny

It was somewhere after midnight and the words had all been said
Random chance and circumstances cram my swollen head.
There’s a restless feeling in my soul that keeps me on the run.
Ain’t it funny how a twist of fate can make you come undone.

Chorus

Ain’t it funny how your new life let you down.
Ain’t it funny how life turns your head around.

If we could find the answers to the things that make no sense.
We could face all our illusions and we’d stand up to the test.
‘Cause nothin’ seems to matter even though you think it should.
The things that always hurt us are the things misunderstood.

Chorus

There is no wrong there bis no right
But where is God on a cold dark night.
There is no black there is no white only 40 shades of grey.
It hides all our illusions like the truth just fades away.

Chorus

White Cotton

Written By: Al Venturini

White Cotton

I never thought my life would ever change again
Love was something in the past
But loving you has been so easy
Time with you just goes so fast

Chorus

White cotton lies on your skin
Like a fragrence on a wind
I can't wait to hold you in my arms
White cotton lies on my mind
I think about you all the time
I can't wait tp hold you in my arms

You and I have paid our dues
So many wasted years.
I have lived enough of life to know
It doesn't get any better than this.

Repeat chorus

I am not your ordinary man
You're such a precious lady
Sunshine days and different ways ahead
It doesn't get any better than this

Repeat Chorus
