Alvis Bell

Alvis comes from a background of big bands and early rock and roll. This background bleeds through in his work but he has an knack for listening to what people want and writing to that end. His vocals are simultaneously smooth but gritty. He is a harmonica player and has sided in many blues bands as a payed player. In his solo shows he accompanies himself on the twelve string guitar with the harmonica. He has blue collar roots and his writing is steeped in roots music much like Steve Earle, Eric Taylor and other singer song/writers who have come up the hard way.
