Bio
Always Drinking Marching Band
began its journey in 1997. Since then this catalan fanfare has been growing up consolidated in the music scene in the streets.
With the intention of reclaiming the streets as a space for all and for everything, where coexistence and entertainment are fully compatible, was born their first show “Birra, sudor y lágrimas” (Beer, sweat and tears) (1997-2004), an unconscious laboratory that forged a training and a musical style that just giving them a stamp and different from their own shows.
It is from 2004, with his second show “La calle es nuestra” (The street is ours), where Always Drinking Marching Band makes the leap to the professional field. The rigorous quality music, without losing their freshness, spontaneity and irreverence of their performances make this show is to win recognition from the public, the press, festivals and institutions, and consolidates a group of more than 30 musicians and clowns that who today constitute this original fanfare.
The growth of this training is not just here and in 2008 when they presented us two new shows and are confirmed as a producer of musicals. The first, On the rocks, their more ambitious proposal, is a spectacular scene where, without losing its essence, presenting their most creative musically speaking and become an electronic fanfare that will shake all the scenes. The second, Quina barra!, is a traveling show of small format that will take large doses of music and good humor.
