Lyrics

I'm Sorry (I Don't Apologize)

Written By: Alycia Ercums

I remember when my fingers were frozen and everything was cold,
I remember just how warm your bed was, how broken in we were, how old.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry but I don't apologize.
I promise I won't come running when I look into your eyes,
Goodbye.

You would leave me just to dreams me, I'd see how fast the sky could close. It's quite the problem that we've jumped into compared to how we were before.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry but I don't apologize.
I promise I won't come running when I look into your eyes,
Goodbye.

I used to say the wind on your breath would bring me to shore,
but I don't feel that cool cool breeze anymore, no.

It's not right when there's one for each other when love is second to none. When you think the world revolves around us but it's circling another one, oh no.

I'm sorry, I'm sorry but I don't apologize.
I promise I won't come running when I look into your eyes,
I'm sorry, I'm sorry but I don't apologize.

Matches in Gasoline

Written By: Alycia Ercums

At time when happiness rolls away
molding my conciousness out of clay.
Pondering a guilty heart and I throw it all away

Soaking matches in gasoline, a fire burns but does not come clean, ashes are all you made of me, words hang in the debris.

When is the use in this productive?
Bullets in my heart are destructive,
Finding a means to an end and I throw it all away

Soaking matches in gasoline, a fire burns but does not come clean, ashes are all you made of me, words hang in the debris.

I feel I will be back some day
We'll make amends
and I'll throw it all away

Soaking matches in gasoline, a fire burns but does not come clean, ashes are all you made of me, words hang in the debris. (3x)

Peace of Mind

Written By: Alycia Ercums

I have no reply if you say goodbye, and I won't ask why, love does not question here.

You're wondering why I breathe this deep sigh, and if I should die I know you would be right there.

So take time to discover what's inside, and don't come back until you find peace of mind.

Wandering star do you know who you are, I wouldn't turn back but I'd peer over my shoulder for you.

So take time to discover what's inside, and don't come back until you find peace of mind.

I'd rather not be pretty, I think it mis-informs. Inside of us are butterflies waiting to transform. A coccoon reveals our shadow, it mirrors who we are, well I've had my share of shadows to chase by far.

So take time to discover what's inside, and don't come back until you find peace of mind.
