"Foley Entertainment"

Passionate singing, piano playing shows alot of talent. The way shes sing is theatrical and passionate, almost as if she were an actress in a movie. If the live performance is as good as what's on the CD, I really look forward to Alycia. - Gene Foley

"OSU/Green Street"

"Alycia's voice is exceptional and her piano playing is something to hear. Her looks just add to the package she brings along." - Dan Woods

"CD Street Review"

Beautiful fresh new voice on the scene. Lush wonderful production. A definite "must-buy" CD. - Shane

"The Chronicle"

“…The type of passionate music to sip coffee to, or watch her play solo and simply be amazed by the notes that flow through each mood portrayed in her lyrics.” - Flip Thurston

"Berklee School of Music"

"You are a fine writer Alycia, and I'm most impressed by your lyric skills. You have a wide range of breadth and interest in your subject matters, and you keep it interesting...with fine attention to structure and continuity. You're a beautiful girl with a fine voice... you need to let yourself go with it more. I especially liked 'Life' and 'Love and War' You've got an obvious love for it" - Jon Aldrich

"Times Union, Albany N.Y"

Alycia Ercums is someone who isn’t a musician because she wants to be one, but because she has to be one. A true artist whose deep emotional impact is magnified be her mesmerizing charm, charisma and presence.

With her debut release “In My Own Words, “ Ercums reveals an innocent lyrical point of view juxtaposed by mature and knowing musical depth; naïve, yet worldly.

Ercums can change your path; make you think, make you reconsider … and drift away. Seek her out

"Reviewed by onemanmuppetshow"

I really dig the rhythmic vocal style. It is done well and seems very natural for Alycia.
I also think her lyrics are honest. My favorite tracks on this CD are "Higher" and "Your Eyes" - South of Mainstream
