So....I entered my song into a little songwriting competition and they gave me this Electronic Press Kit Website thing along with the entry. So...obviously I'm not a rockstar and don't need all this, but it's a fun way to send out my song to all of you who wanted to hear it!
Although I am learning (slowly) how to play the guitar, the music you hear in Oxygen & Love is done by Brian Gratton. Not knowing how to play an instrument, I have always just figured out in my head how I wanted each of my songs to sound. Thanks to my Uncle Bri, who is an amazing musician and was willing to listen to (and somehow understand) my backwards way of writing a song. He listened to me and then put the 'music' to my words. Without him, none of my songs would be "songs". We are hoping to get into an actual studio soon to record a version of Oxygen & Love with drums, bass, and eletric guitar. This is just the beginning. We're also working on completing 3-4 other songs. (And I promise that they aren't all sad) :) I'll post them when they're done. It's all very exciting to me!
