Aly Cook – Biography

"Brand New Day" Aly's debut album has been release in 2011. First single is the sassy rocking country blues "Spend it" a co-write with top New Zealand producer Alan Jansson. ( Producer and co-writer of one of NZ's most overseas played works "How Bizarre" by the OMC, the album of which went to #1 on the US Billboard ). Smooth vocals from Sina of OMC, brings a pacific feel to this strong country blues crossover track.

The Video for Spend it has now been accepted for airplay on Australia's CMC Country Music Channel and Sky 63 in New Zealand. The single has also been released on compilations to radio in Australia and the UK and is being added by many stations. Aly has done hundreds of interviews in Australia NZ, France and UK including BBC

This album shows Aly’s songwriting skills in an eclectic mix of Country blues and folk crossover. There is something for everyone on this album of inspirational and catchy songs. "Brand New Day" is produced to the international standards, with esteemed musicianship. Including a special guests vocal from iconic New Zealand Singer Songwriter Sharon O'Neill, who appears on the title track Brand New Day.

Aly's New Zealand accolades include Nomination in 2010 for Female Country Artist of the Year. Also nomination for New Zealand APRA Country Song of the Year with "I Wonder" & finalist in the MLT Songwriting Awards 2007 with "Grow".

In 2011 Aly has performed all over the world.
