As Al’York we’re four people who love to play and make music. We’re a band from Ankara, Turkey and we came together during the summer of 2015. We had a pretty busy year playing gigs and recording music. The four members of the band all come from different backgrounds and this has shaped the style of our band.
After our first concert we played a lot of gigs around Turkey and with a lot of bands. Some of the bands we have played with include The Away Days, The Ringo Jets and No Land. We gave concerts around Ankara, Eskişehir and İstanbul in venues like Noxus, Peyote, Karga or places like the Amphitheater of Architecture in METU. During all the concerts we managed to record our Debut EP and released it on all digital formats but also as a CD. The EP is a collection of four songs that have evolved over playing gigs and countless number of rehearsals but there also a collection of songs that signify a place in time for us.
What we found out over the year is that we love playing shows and traveling together. We can’t wait to release our next set of songs, share our music and our energy on stage with people. From booking shows to releasing our own EP we did everything on our own so we're not connected to any labels.
