Charlotte, NC – January, 1 2011 – AM2 Kids introduces its new game changing music genre called Kids POP. Kids POP is today’s music for kids by kids, minus the inappropriate content. It aims to fill the void in the music industry for kids ages 5-12, and the songs are made to appeal to parents and kids alike. “It will have you and your kids on your feet singing and relating to what the songs are about.” said Melody Lopez, a mother of three from Orlando, Florida.
AM2 Kids music is innovative in that the production is on par with today’s top pop artists, while the lyrics address issues that relate to children, such as healthy eating, bullying and just having fun. Today, with so much emphasis placed on image and “looking good” children feel pressured to conform. The song, “I Got a Plan” promotes self-esteem. AM2 is a charismatic and versatile artist. He is a songwriter taking on the challenge of success in the music industry. Born and raised in Boston MA and currently residing in Charlotte and Los Angeles, AM2 has a southern appeal that mixes precisely with his urban edge. AM2's love of music began in middle school when he realized he had the gift to sing and write artistically. He quickly nurtured his talent and soon began to catch the attention of several industry heavyweights. Over the course of his career he has worked with Def Jam, Nickelodeon, MTV, Nike, Reebok, Sony, The Equalizers, and Bad Boy, just to name a few.
These days he wants to use his gift to create music for children. His talent for using pen and paper to create magic is extraordinary. As a parent of two younger children he realized the important role that music plays in their lives. He became aware of a void in the music that was available to kids. Many have outgrown Barney & Sesame Street style music, yet they are far too young for what most of the mainstream pop and hip-hop artists talk about in their songs. He wanted to create music for kids that didn’t make adults want to rip their hair out, and at the same time music that could compete with mainstream artists. This has motivated him, and he has teamed up with a Grammy award winning producer to create age-appropriate pop music for children by children. AM2 Kids Music is stylistically in sync with today’s top pop artists, and the lyrics deal with topics that are relevant to children’s lives and experiences – from school lunch to bullying, to just being a kid and having fun. This journey that he is embarking upon will one day place him in the ranks of great songwriters.
