Bio

It took only hours of listening to Celine Dion to make the largest decision of her life, and now, 15 years later, every step brings her closer to the real thing. Amal3son (pronounced "amaleeson") is the vibrant mind behind the lyrics and sounds of her promotional demo album "Lost With Directions" and her upcoming sophomore album "illf@ted", which has already received over 10,000 downloads on the popular website www.mp3.com and has worked into the hearts of many.

The Sudanese born/Canadian raised songstress started her career off with traditional dancing and performed throughout her Canadian home town of Regina, Saskatchewan, including for Mayor Pat Fiacco. She started writing her own songs at the tender age of 9 and dubbed herself amal3son after combining words, numbers and letters together: "ama" being the first 3 letters of her first name "Amanie", "L" for lyrics, "3" being a backwards "e" and her favourite number" and "son", the first 3 letters of "songs". At 12, she began producing and recording. By 15, she had released her first album, "Lost With Directions", which featured 12 songs and was written, produced, engineered and designed herself. With the help of influences such as Alanis Morrisette, Missy Elliot, Madonna, Shirley Manson, Nelly Furtado and M.I.A., amal3son took off to Toronto, Ontario to begin working on "illfa@ted". While there, she collaborated and worked with multiple artists and bands, recorded a variety of singles such as “2 Hott”, “I Tried” and “Letter To Myself” and began fully managing her music career. To take a break, she moved back to Regina, Saskatchewan, only to find herself in Talking Dog Sound and Post Studios recording more singles for the album.

It has only been 19 years and Amal3son has had her fair share of life that is drawn out into the music she writes and produces. From heart aches, to child hood traumas to moments she could never capture in a bottle, Amal3son writes it all and turns it into a sound. She's got the voice, the smarts and the moves to emote and connect with those who will listen...so why not have a listen?
